If you’re stuck for things to do with your wee scamps over the school holidays, why not put the Oor Wullie Bucket Trail on your summer bucket list?

The trail is a huge public art event in Dundee featuring fifty-five sculptures of Scotland’s most famous cartoon character, Oor Wullie sitting on his bucket. The five feet tall sculptures have been individually decorated by artists and designers, and are placed in different locations across the city for visitors to enjoy.

This trail is perfect for a fun-filled family break that’s a little bit different, particularly if you have young children to entertain. Together you can follow the trail maps or use the free app to help you have hours of fun finding all 55 sculptures across the city. You might also like to visit some of Dundee’s other family-friendly attractions along the way, such as the RSS Discovery and Dundee Science Centre.

Jings! Crivens! We almost forgot! West Park is supporting the trail in partnership with Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce to help raise funds for The Archie Foundation. You can discover Glow, our very own Oor Wullie, decorated by the Tinto Architecture at City Quay.  If you find him tweet us your #Oorselfie snaps.

West Park Campus is an ideal base to enjoy the Oor Wullie Bucket Trail. Oor campus accommodation is all en-suite and fully serviced with free parking, free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. The perfect solution to a value-for- money break with the family. Double rooms start from just £60 per night.
